How to Screen Tenants

To login, simply go to StarPointTenantScreening.com and click on the login button…

Now enter the location ID you were given at sign up with the user name and password you selected.

On the homepage you’ll see your most recent report orders, your account balance, answers to frequently asked questions and some quick tips.

To order reports, simply click on the Order tab at the top of the page.

Click on the all the reports you want to order on your tenant applicant.

And remember with StarPoint Tenant Screening, you’ll always get a previous address report for FREE with every Eviction Report order.

Enter all the required applicant information.

Your applicant’s social security number is only required for processing Credit Reports and the Previous Address Report.

Please note:
All Criminal and Eviction searches are done using your applicant’s First Name, Middle Name, Last Name and Date of Birth only. Surprisingly the Criminal and Civil court system almost never record social security numbers on court records. They rely on name and date of birth information for their filing.

For State Criminal or State Evictions Reports, please select the state or states you’d like searched. If you’ve selected National searches, all available states will be included automatically.

If you’ve also selected to order an Employment Verification on the applicant, simply scroll down and enter the applicant’s place of work, their stated position and claimed wage amount.
The StarPoint team personally verifies all the information directly with the employer.
Simply click “Next” to continue.

Here you will be able to see your order total and enter your credit card information for processing.
You can also select to charge the order to a stored credit card.
Simply click “Next” to continue.

The confirmation page will allow you look over the report selections you made before your payment method is charged.
Simply click “Edit Information” to make changes to your order or click “Order” to process your order and receive your reports.

All your reports will be returned immediately, except for the Employment Verification and the Previous Landlord Verification which usually takes about 48 hours to complete.
Click on the reports to view them. Let’s take a look at the Criminal Report first.
